FAQ

What suburbs do you serve at your Potts Point Medical Practice?

We mostly see patients from Potts Point, Kings Cross, Darlinghurst, Elizabeth Bay, Paddington, Surry Hills, Edgecliff, and Bondi Junction, but we’re happy to accept new patients from other suburbs in Sydney, NSW.

Can I park at your medical centre in Potts Point?

Yes. Undercover parking is just a stone’s throw away at Secure Parking on 9A Elizabeth Bay Road, Potts Point. Car park entry is on both sides of Elizabeth Bay Road.

What is a standard appointment time and when should I ask for a long consultation?

A standard appointment is 10 minutes to address a single query. If you have more than one query or the matter is complicated, or you are a new patient with a medical history unknown to us, you should book a longer 20 minute appointment. Patients who attend with long lists of queries, should expect to have these resolved over several appointments.

What if I need to see a Potts Point doctor after hours?

Patients can call to book an after-hours telehealth appointment. This service is ideal for busy professionals who don’t have time during the working day; and when other doctors’ surgeries are closed. All after-hours consultations (after 6 pm weekdays, weekends, and public holidays) are privately billed. Please speak to our team if you need this.

How long have you been in business in Potts Point?

Dr Anatoly Trachtenberg established the medical practice in 1995 and served the community for over 47 years. It became the True Medical Health Centre in 2020 and is now owned by Dr Eunice Man. It remains an independent practice registered for accreditation.

Do you provide any specialised services?

Yes, we provide insertion and removal of the contraceptive Implanon. It works by preventing the ovaries from releasing an egg each month. In addition, it thickens the fluid surrounding the cervix, helping to prevent sperm from entering. Our highly skilled Potts Point doctors perform the procedure using local anaesthesia.

What languages are spoken at your clinic?

Our Potts Point doctors speak English, Cantonese, Russian and Ukrainian.

How are you different from other medical centres in Potts Point and the surrounding areas?

Our friendly team provides a sense of community and patients feel completely at ease when they visit us. We also work through holiday periods and offer an after-hours telehealth service (by appointment only).

How can I pay for my treatment in Potts Point?

Patients can pay by credit card or cash for all treatments at True Health Medical.

Do I need to book an appointment?

We recommend patients to make an appointment. If you have a sore throat, cough, runny nose or fever, please make a telehealth appointment. It is easy and convenient to use, and if our doctors decide you need a face to face appointment, we can arrange one for you.
